Rev. Thomas Wesley Munnerlyn
( 2 Jan 1833 - 25 Jul 1889)

 

Thomas Wesley Munnerlyn was the son of Rev. Thomas Mixon Munnerlyn and Mary Avont Kirton, born in Marion Co., South Carolina on 2 January 1833.  Thomas began his active ministry as a Methodist minister in 1859.  He served the Williamsburg Circuit in 1864. His active ministry lasted 21 years. Thomas married on 17th of September 1861 to Ann Elizabeth Weeks of Clarendon Co., South Carolina.   Thomas & Ann had the following known children, James Thomas, Harcourt Lee, an infant son, William West, Annie Elizabeth, Tracy Weeks, and Olin Scott. Thomas spent the last eight years of his life on his farm in the Oswego Circuit before he died on July 25, 1889 in South Carolina. He was buried at St. John's Cemetery, Spring Hill, Lee County, South Carolina.
