George Ford Munnerlyn, Sr. was born in Marion Co, South Carolina in 1849 to Rev. Thomas Mixon Munnerlyn and Mary Avant Kirton.  George was married by Thomas Stanford in McLennan Co., Texas to Annie Rebecca Mullins on 15 November 1871.  He died on 15 December 1916 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, McLennan Co., Texas.
