Thomas Shapher Munnerlyn was the son of William Charles Munnerlyn and Rebecca W. Shaffer. Thomas was born Georgetown County, S.C. September 9, 1851. Thomas married to Caroline "Carrie" Legare Brightman on December 20, 1888. No children are known for Thomas and Carrie. Thomas died on November 10, 1920 in Georgetown Co., South Carolina. He was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Williamsburg Co., S.C.
